Another busy week of weddings. I absolutely love Braxted Park and had the most wonderful day with Victoria and her bridal party on her wedding day. Photography by Neil Bailey – www.nsbailey.com
Well Summer is well and truly under way with all my beautiful brides and bridesmaids having wonderful romantic hairstyles and choosing the most perfect wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses. I have been working at so many different venues this month. Gosfield Hall, Maidens Barn, Blake Hall in Ongar, Channels Lodge, Leez Priory and Mulberry House. Here is one of my brides. This wonderful lady is wearing a wig and she was very self conscious about this but she had absolutely nothing to worry about. She looked amazing. I took a ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos. I look forward to sharing some more beautiful styles with you very soon. Gail x
After all the excitement of winning Wedding Hairstylist of the Year in November and my very busy few months with weddings, I have not had the opportunity to update you with all my latest brides etc. I have met some wonderful brides, here are just a few of the hairstyles I have been creating. I am now already becoming booked up for 2018 so please contact me to see if I have your date still available. Gail x
I am so very proud to announce I have won this years Wedding Hairstylist of the Year award. I am completely overwhelmed as I was amongst 9 of the most talented finalists in this category. Its going to take me a while to come back down to earth but in the meantime I am going to continue enjoying styling all my lovely brides and ladies who have booked me for their special day. xxx
Hi everyone…..I am currently working backstage on a production of Oliver Twist the Musical which involves many long hours from the afternoon to late into the evening. Please accept my apologies if I am taking a little longer than usual to respond to emails as I only get the chance to do so first thing each morning. I promise to respond to every enquiry at my earliest opportunity so I thank you in advance for your patience. The production ends at the weekend so it will be back to business as usual from Monday. Many thanks. Gail x
Wow!!! I have just been advised that I have become a Wedding Hairstylist of the Year Finalist with The Wedding Industry Awards and also with The Essex Wedding Awards!! What can I say? Awards are taking place later in the month but just becoming a Finalist is enough to keep a big smile on my face.
I had the greatest pleasure of styling wonderful bride Bryony and her bridal party for her wedding at Great Lodge, Braintree. Such a perfect day! Such a welcoming family with a very down to earth wedding but with amazing attention to detail! So much work went into this wedding and it was all brought together by the most amazing wedding planner, Mary Briscoe, who is phenomenal. Just take a look at these wonderful photos, the wedding looks so much fun. Anyone who is a little nervous about their wedding day, do not think twice about contacting Mary, who has been a wedding co-ordinator for many many years – www.weddingsbymary.co.uk and she will make everything run smoothly and come up with some amazing ideas too. Flowers by www.poppiesdesign.co.uk, who created Bryonys lovely flowered wreath for her hair. So much went on at this wedding. The bride arrived by Tractor, the guests sat on Hay Bales for the ceremony, everyone played Croquet followed by Rounders! They even had a visit from a few Alpacas! At the wedding breakfast, one person from each table was assigned to carving the meat for their table. This wonderful wedding was finished off with a a fabulous Barn Dance! Here are Bryonys fabulous wedding photos taken by the fantastic hnphotography.uk.
Just some hot of the press news…..I have just been informed that I have become a Finalist for the Wedding Hairstylist of the Year! Such wonderful news to receive! The big final event is in November but just being short listed is such a wonderful feeling.
I’ve had such a diverse Summer! I’ve met so many wonderful and interesting people. Not only brides to be and people celebrating milestone birthdays but ordinary people in my normal walks of life. Big changes have happened this year. My daughter started University in Canterbury and my Son received a Jack Petchey Award, so I’m having a good year!
I have met some amazing brides who have been taking their vows and starting married life with their loved ones. I have also enjoyed creating different sophisticated hairstyles for every occasion and all very bespoke to your personal taste and long may it continue. My 2017 diary is already becoming quite full, especially for August so please do secure your date soon as I am already having to turn so many people away.
Next month, I am working backstage on a production of Oliver Twist. I cannot wait to paint makeup onto 40 young faces each night along with changing wigs and putting eyeliner on Fagin and Bill Sykes etc. Such a wonderful show which is on at The Civic Theatre, in Chelmsford from Tuesday 8th November to Saturday 12th.
For now, here are some of the wonderful brides I have styled over the past few days and weeks. Keep visiting this page to see all my Autumn brides that I am working with throughout October and November.

Congratulations to my most recent brides, Rebecca who married at Channels, Donna who married at The Fennes, Chloe who married at Newland Hall, Zoe who married in St Thomas’s church in Brentwood, Jessica who married in Chelmsford, Bryony who married in Great Bradfield and Fiona who married in St Andrews Church, Boreham. Congratulations to you all.
We are well and truly in the middle of summer and what wonderful weather we are having too! I have had the pleasure of working with so many beautiful brides and bridesmaids on their wedding day. I have also been working on a few photo shoots for an album cover with accompanying video too and I think I have probably finished with all the proms for this season as schools have now broken up. I am due to work back stage later this year on a local production of Oliver Twist, more of that to come later in the year. For now, please take a look at some of my work over the past two months. My diary is pretty much full up for the summer but do get in touch if you have an autumn wedding or special occasion as I do still have some availability.
